Okay, zat net ff te pompen op het Gass Station van synthsite dot com en kijk s wat ik tegenkwam!
Een mod op de Alesis Andy; de maker noemt het de "Aurora" mod; d8 eerst dat Rob Papen er achter zat
- Well, guess the cat's out of the bag now, so here's some info on my latest "project" - the Aurora A6
Here's what's going on so far:
Rare black-on-blue beta panel
All LEDS are changed to RED (wanted to do blue BUT blue would have ended up costing about $400 plus the cost of some resistors because they require higher voltages, the reds cost me $15 :-) though they're not as bright as I'd hoped so I may be changing resistors anyway. Lots of fun, unsoldering and resoldering ~150 LEDs :-)
WORKING at getting hold of a Blue LCD display!!! (anyone else interested? :-)
Nice high-quality Oak or Ash endcheeks and accents (strip between the top of the keys and the panel)
BUILT-IN 16-CHANNEL MIXER with pan and level for each of the individ outs! - still working on how to fit this all together. May fit on top most likely
I may incorporate a joystick as well, depending on space - but its looking like a nogo for now. It'd be built into a Doepfer PocketElectronics controller interface passed through the MIDI in, to avoid any electronics issues :-)
I called it the Aurora A6 - keeps with either a celestial phenomenon OR a mythological naming convention, as well as keeps the Andromeda alliteration (AurorA - AndromedA) - originally called it Perseus, but thought this was better.
More pics to come soon. I FINALLY (after three weeks of looking) found someone who sold good hobby wood stock in 13" wide, 2" thickness - which apparently is pretty rare.
Vinnem niet eens zo lelijk
