i've kept one unit for myself, its working great with synths, vocals and
drum bus. bigness without noiseating pumping side-effect. haven't tried
guitars yet.. its possible to provide some mp3s if u like.

YAMAHA CS-80 in MINT Condition, ***SERVICED***

YAMAHA CS-80 in MINT Condition, ***SERVICED***

Yamaha CS-80. Serial 1377.
No legs.
Mint condition of panel, keyboard, controls 10/10.
Tolex would be 7/10, little dusty, with signs of age.
Fully operational, previously owned by San Diego Collector Roland Frasier.
Purchased in 2005 and not used since then.
Serviced in the Bay Area in 2008 (Trimmed power supply; cleaned; tuned
oscillator boards; repaired voice board B8, replaced dead waveshaper IC,
tested all functions).
To interested buyers: I will provide you the contact information of the
outfit that serviced the unit and the contact information of my brother who
lives in the US and is the keeper of the unit.
The instrument is currently not being used.
Location: San Jose, California - In person test of the instrument is
possible by appointment (the unit was intended to be transported to Croatia,
but due to size and cost I decided against that).
Buyer is responsible for packing, shipping, and insurance.

Disclaimer: Most vintage analog users are familiar with the sensitivity and
instability of CS-80 circuits. It is enough to move it to the other part of
the room to have stuff go out of calibration. It is likely that transport
with affect the calibration. Also, the 4000 series multiplexers, that CS-80
is full off, are notorious for going out on a whim. Users of CS-80 know
that. Presently they all work.

I am not responsible for any damage, loose contacts, or de-calibration during transport. This is the responsibility of the buyer and the optional insurance company.
