Racked Pair of Vintage Cadac G.230 3 band discrete EQ's with Carnhill input and output transformers (same as Neve).
These were built in England during the 70's and come out of consoles that were built during the same era as classic Neve.
The Cadacs generally blow away API 550's in size and excitement of whatever passes through them.
They are more on par with Neve 1081's sonically with the exception that the top end of the Cadac's can boost for days and still sound smooth.

These EQ's feature 1 mid band and switchable peak/shelving high and low bands
They come fully refurbished and are recapped + serviced.

CADAC G-230 vintage stereo EQ (Neve 1081 x Pultec)



Stereo rack met vintage Cadac G.230 3band EQ's uit 1972, geracked met Carnhill input- en output transformers (dezelfde als Neve).

Deze EQ’s zijn volledig discrete CLASS A en één van de weinige (ik ken enkel Pultec) met spoelen in het hoog wat ze zeer mooi maakt. Sound is vergelijkbaar met de Neve 1081, maar het hoog blijft goed klinken bij full boost.

-Het rack is hard-wired bypassed of je kan enkel de EQ’s uit het circuit halen om de transfo sound te behouden.
-De hoog en laag banden zijn zowel shelving als bell-shaped, het mid is bell-shaped.
-High frequenties zijn; 5.6kHz, 6.8kHz, 8.0kHz, 10kHz en 12kHz
-Mid frequenties zijn; 0.7kHz, 1.4kHz, 2.0kHz, 2.8kHz, 3.4kHz, 3.8kHz, 4.6kHz, 5.6kHz
-Low frequenties zijn; 60Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz, 160Hz, 240Hz, 350Hz
-Boosts en cuts zijn instelbaar op; 1dB, 2dB, 4dB, 6dB, 8dB, 10dB, 12dB, 14dB en 16dB
-Alle switches zijn stepped ELMA wat perfecte stereo link en total recall geeft.
-Enkel de beste behuizing, switches en connectors van Neutrik zijn gebruikt.

Beide EQ’s zijn recapped en geserviced.
