Nobody asked to "place a price on a phantom item", the question is how much are you offering for a JP-8 in that condition you are looking for.
Then if the price is right you will receive offers - maybe from me for example or from others - at that moment you will be sole judge if those offers correspond to the condition you are looking for or not.
When someone wants to sell something he should indicate a price, for the same reason when someone wants to buy something he should also indicate a price, or expect to bump up his WTB ad for many months...

What you are writing is pure nonsense ,everyone looking for a nice condition JP-8 knows he will have to cash at least the marketprice,so the 500e or 1000e up or down will be determinated by its physical condition.

So its impossible for anybody to place a real number on a unit he can't see or know anything about it.

If you are in urge to sell your ,or 'a' JP-8,mention a asking price or at least describe in detail your unit joined by clear detailed pictures and you will get very quick offers.

Puur uit biedingen die ik op mij Jp8 zo nu en dan krijg, is de gemiddelde prijs zonder hem daadwerkelijk gezien te hebben rond de +6000 euro.

ik zou me niet te druk maken,persoon woont in frankrijk dacht ik,je kan hem ook benaderen op muff,heeft daar al wat verkocht,maar heeft vrij weinig posts.

Why i would bother to communicate you publicaly on this forum or in PM a price i willing to pay for the specific kind of item am looking for if i don't even know you own an item like that?

post pictures from 'your' jupiter with a description and ppl can glue a price on it then.

Normale deals (succesvolle) worden ingeluid en voorafgegaan door normaal handelscontact.
Als het al meteen met gezever of onduidelijkheden begint dan word het meestal niks en haak ik af.

In mijn optiek lopen succesvolle deals als volgt:

Wat moet ie kosten?

Stuur me een PB....

Fotos en vraagprijs worden door verkoper toegestuurd,

Koper gaat akkoord,

Instrument word opgehaald en verkocht..

I kind of agree with you Ernst but when you have several Jupiter-8 with different versions or MIDI and you see a WTB ad, although you didn’t want to sell them initially you think you could give it a try and ask for those simple questions to decide you or not. Nothing so unbelievable here. I guess when I’m really decided I will put one on eBay that should work better and everybody will be happy…

When done an offer , you might find it not oke, but then at least give some info ( picture b.e.) that might give an opening to a " more appropriate" price offer.
If not ,the suggestion of "backed air" is a normal reaction for any serious potential buyer

Vraag me af of de jp8 met zijn mooie klank het prijsverschil met de nieuwe prophet 6 voldoende waar maakt
En daarnaast of de te verwachtte p8 nieuw en of moog sub8 niet het nog even wachten verstandig maakt
Maar ja, mocht zich een aardig en reeel bod voordoen zal ik waarschijnlijk er toch graag voor gaan
Het vlees is zwak.....
