Hi,

i recently bought a Korg Sigma, with some broken or not working switches.
(repaired them completly)

but now im a bit lost how to MIDI control him...

i never worked with cv signals before , therefore i would love someone to help me out with that.
especially because its using Hz.

thats the back of it:

one question also is, if the instrument section can also be controlled via CV, or only the synth section..

anyone got some experience with the sigma?

Buy yourself a kenton pro2000 midi to cv converter
Sh about 200-300
It has 16bit translation and special hz/ volt setting
That'll do the trick
You also have suplement outputs to control vcf etc

the question

thanks for the answer sunny,

well, i know that this would work, but that doesnt answer my question if both synth and instrument section can be midi controlled.....

also looking for a build in opion.

wouldn't know why only one of them would work, it also only has one cv input for it on the back , doesn't it.
problem with lots of build in kits is that they offer only 12 bit conversion and adapted to volt/oct. both are not suitable and /or especially below not accurate( b.e. doepfer kits).
besides the price would be not to cheap i guess
the pro2000 can also be used completely independed for another hz/volt or volt/oct synth at the same time.
nice to know for future expansions :-)
