ik heb wat vragen over de DSI Pro 2 misschien dat iemand hier kan helpen.

ik dacht dat je de midi out van de sequencer met al zn info zou kunnen opnemen in je daw (c8.5 bij mij).
maar ik zie geen midi uit de pro 2 komen,
heb onder Global staan:
midi port2 thru/out op out
geen van beide midi outputs geven signaal
kabel in de mdi out vd pro2
clock mode: master

You can send Track 1's note data to a MIDI out using the mod matrix. Assign the "Note Number" mod source to one of the "MIDI out" destinations. Oops, I misspoke. The MIDI outs are currently disabled in the mod matrix. I've added the ability to send Track 1's note data to our feature list.
dat was 2014 dus zou wel eens af mogen zijn: bij mij nog steeds disabeld.

ik heb versie 1.1.8 op website staat oudere versie als laatste OS: 1.1.0

any help?

van de DSI Knowledge database is dit misschien nuttige info?

As I understand it, Track 1 is reserved for controlling pitch on the Pro 2's internal synth engine... and that means, that it will of course also trigger notes in it's own engine (gating envelopes etc.).... all other tracks (2-16) can only be used as Modulation sequencers for the Pro 2 Engine... only exeption is when Track 2-16 is routed to MIDI Output 1 or 2, in which case you (as I understand it), should be able to send note-on/off and velocity data.

In any case, what else would you send out of the MIDI outputs? ... you could send CCs of course, but I'm not sure where in the sequencer you'd set which CC to send... external synths have vastly different CC mappings. My bet is that when it is sending out note information thru the MIDI outs, that this is the only thing it will do... send note on/offs. Otherwise there would have to be somewhere to tell the engine WHAT it shall send out of the MIDI ports.

The destinations only designate port and channel, not what it will send, so it's most logical that it sends note on/off and velocity data by default, unless there is a specific parameter that works as a kind of "source" parameter that tell what kind of MIDI data to send.

Sequencer Out/MIDI Out 2

MIDI Out 2: The Pro 2's second MIDI output can be assigned as a MIDI Thru *or* assigned as the destination for a sequencer track. It cannot operate as a MIDI Thru and a sequencer out destination simultaneously.
*Note: If MIDI Out 2 is assigned to sequencer out, you must enter velocity information in the sequencer track assigned to the MIDI Out or you will not hear the notes when sequencer plays back.
• To assign MIDI Out 2 as a sequencer track destination, press the Global button and set the "MIDI Out 2" parameter to "Out". Press the Global button again to exit the Global menu.
• Next, press the Sequencer button. You'll most likely want to select an unassigned sequencer track. Start by pressing and holding the Track Select button. While holding, press a sequencer Step button (1-16) to select the track you want.
• Continuing to hold the Track Select button, use the rightmost soft knob above the OLED display to set the Destination of the sequencer track to MIDI Out 2, Ch (1-16). The MIDI Out options are at the end of the Destination menu.
• Enter note and velocity information in the sequencer track as you see fit, then start the sequencer. The track will now send MIDI note data to MIDI Out 2.

Waar vind je die firmware versie dan?

1.1.15 is een beta, na updaten geeft de synth deze versie weer dus install gaat goed, , ik vind de link niet meer op t dsi forum ben al tijdje aan t zoeken, pb even je email dan mail ik die file wel. snap ook niet waarom dsi deze niet gewoon als beta op de site zet ter download. of vraag anders op dsi forum.
