hi, i am hoping to buy a new keyboard synthesizer soon.i was hoping to get one that is quite easy to use,(not too much difficult programming needed).

i want something that is good for dance music, the british style dance music.

i currently own the following:

roland sh101: good toy, but not very good for making music
yamaha sy55: very boring to program, old fashioned sounds
yamaha an200 analog modelling synth: it is a module, and i find it boring to program.

those are my main synths, but as i am an hobbiest synth player i find it rather tedious to sit with it for hours trying to program it, the sh101 is easy, but very limited.

i was looking at the korg triton extreme,do you think this would be suitable.

please help me by providing me with ideas for synths which would be good for me.

thankyou kindly for your time (ps i can not read german =( )

lol....well i will intent to at least answer your questions, the triton is a very well build machine that has some great features, but i think it will al depend on the way you want to create music, and perhaps the triton still offers a bit to much of a menu structure,so maybe a synth wich has more knobs and sliders will be more fitted in the picture here,i think the people here have some suggestions,i have one too...the keyboard version of the access virus c,is a good example or the supernova 2...

these synths will give you the apportunity to edit and create sounds by using knobs and switches only, and will have just a few submenu's... i think these kind of synth's will give you more pleasure in playing!

offcourse i just mentioned 2 of the many nice sounding synth's availlable on the market...

ow and one thing: that whole german issue was unforgiveable.... lol... :D

Reading German is not that difficult. They use almost the same characters as you do.

Anyhow, if you're looking for another easy, toyish synth, have a look at the Roland MC-505.
I'm not joking here. It has lots of onhands controls (like the SH) but with a small sequencer and
the sounds you're looking for. They cost about 800DM (or 400€) 2nd hand.
