Dit kwam voorbij op de Akai mailinglijst en is misschien interessant voor iemand hier. Ze zouden dan wel via de VS komen, maar voor die prijs is dat nog wel te doen lijkt me.

My apologies for taking up bandwidth for this, but I'm trying to reach as many Waldorf product owners as possible.
The Alps 16mm encoders used in the Q and XT (and other Waldorf products?) are discontinued according to Alps. Alps has done some large runs of them for Elfa and others but it is officially a discontinued part with no direct replacement. The issue is that it is a 16mm rotary encoder and they have replaced it with a 12mm version with different spacing for the circuit board pins.
So... I have sourced this part from a manufacturer in China and I'm trying to get an idea of how many to buy. I'm guessing I would sell them for about $1.50 USD each, but can't guarantee that until I have more info.
Please e-mail me off list if you are interested and let me know what quantity you might need. I'm not going to hold anyone to this, I just want to get an idea of the possible demand.
