The Dedbeat weekender rises again for some springtime audio action at its new Norfolk BASS camp - Pontin's Holiday Village in Hemsby.
On the hip-hop tip, legendary KRS-1 of Boogie Down Productions is over for his first UK date in a very long time and new blood is injected by the likes of Edan, Ty, Infinite Livez, Atmosphere, The Meteorites, Prince Poetry and Sage Francis.
For those looking for a more soulful edge, Dedbeat are proud to welcome multi-million selling R&B soulstress Gwen McCrae, who first came to global attention back in 1975 with her worldwide smash Rockin' Chair. Keeping things legendary, reggae torch song master Horace Andy also makes an appearance, as do the Dub Cartel Soundsystem DJ duo of Don Letts and Dan Donovan, who came to fame playing reggae at Clash and Sex Pistols gigs.
If that isn't enough, then Theo Parrish and the 3 Chairs perform live, Amp Fiddler brings his Motown feel to the 7th City Phunk, Ectomorph deliver their unique futuristic electro, Matthew Dear and Dabrye play live and the mysterious Drexciyan DJ Stingray graces the decks once again.
From the UK, Plaid, LFO, Luke Vibert and Si Begg all play live, while from Holland the Clone posse pulverise the bass with live sets from Alden Tyrell, Dexter and Detroit In Effect and Serge at the controls. Further label showcases come from Big Dada, Ghostly International, Keb Darge's Breakin' Bread, Tigerbeat, A1 Records, Lex and Wang.
Of course there are plenty of the usual breakers, activities, Dedbeat TV, and all the weekender madness regular visitors have come to expect.
Entry includes three days and two nights of music split between three indoor venues, with three nights self-catering, en suite accommodation. Dedbeat also pipe real-time TV throughout the whole site, so even if you're too tired to stand up you can still check out what's going on at the main stage. The other channels have film classics, experimental weird stuff and out-of-date porn. Along with the three rooms of music, your weekend ticket also entitles you to use of all the park's facilities, including a go-kart track, swimming pool, games consoles, amusement arcade, pool/snooker rooms and 24hr pub price bars.
