5 analogue instruments: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Low-, Mid- and High-Tom, as well as two sample-based instruments: Cymbal and the HiHats. Each instrument has four parameters available for editing the sound, the bass drum even has six parameters. All parameters can be controlled remotely as well as the instruments can be triggered via MIDI. Each instrument can be found twice, in a normal and an accentuated version. Per instrument and pattern one of the 15 shuffle modes can be programmed. Each pattern is featured in two variations: A and B, which can be played alternating to create a 32 steps long pattern. But the sequence ca also be shortened if less than 16 steps are desired. The MFB 503 has 90 memories for patterns, which not only remember the sequence but also parameter settings. Additionally there are further 90 memory spaces for drum kits and 90 song memories at 128 patterns! The unit is being delivered with an external 12V DC power supply.
