- YES, there is a TDM version!
- There is a MONO version (multi-mono as well), which is only 50% of the GUI.... you can use it on mix channels and if you don´t need M/S...
- M/S: yes, we added an M/S mode...!
- BX: it´s not a secret that the BX software team is handling the SPL software emulations, so yes, this is another fine cooperation.
- Quality: we modeled this with EVERY detail, in fact the software that we modeled from the left channel of our hardware unit is closer to that channel than the right channel of the same EQ is!!! And we are talking about a matched mastering hardware unit...!
This plugin is also quite CPU/DSP hungry, as the circuit has to be calculated all in one go because of the inductive nature of the beast... but the plugin REALLY behaves just like the real thing...
Hermann (CEO of SPL) a/b-ed the hardware against the software in our PMC equipped test studio and after a few a/b switches he grabbed the volume knob of the hardware and turned it down bevause he couldn´t believe that he was really switching... there is literally NO difference in sound between the hardware and the software...
