FR-777 is now retro
We have limited the production of the 777 to just 700 units in all. Once our remaining stock is gone these units will no longer be available. We will continue to provide our service and support for the 777 to all customers. The Mobius units are still in production and will remain available. We will now be focusing our attention on current products in development, and will post more information on the new products before their release.

En ja hoor! Via Analague Heaven en die hebben het weer van de Future Retro mailing list.

I would prefer to not be too specific until all the designs are
finalized, since features and specs may change from now until it's
release. But here is a nice overview of what we've been working on.

Sound wise, the new unit will do the most accurate recreation of the
303 with all the original controls and functions, with a few additions
to the analog section. Also included will be a distortion stage, 24
bit effects.
CV/Gate outputs, Filter CV in, Audio filter in, Stereo out, and
Headphone outputs as well. MIDI in/out/thru and most likely Din Sync
output.

We are still developing new changes to the sequencer section which
include...
A new remix feature which allows 256 variations for any of the 256
patterns in memory, for more than 65,000 pattern possibilities. This
is not simple randomization, but something you can come back to and
interact with to produce changes, fills, or simply cure a creative block.
Other changes for the sequencer are planned however we need to wait
and see how much space is left for new features in the processors code.

Visually the unit will have a complete new look. You will now be able
to see sequences for the cycles that they truely are. Yes, the
sequencer is laid out in a circle. If you were to watch a normal
pattern playing, this motion would resemble a normal clock ticking
away through time, with a seamless beginning and end.
This layout also provides a more stimulating visual experience when
you see the remix feature in action. Which is something you will have
to experience for yourself.
In addition this new layout provides the same spacing or better for
all the controls, yet the average person will be able to press any or
all these controls with a single hand.
We may also make a few changes to the methods of entering information
into the sequencer to provide even faster ways of working.

Alright, now that we've provided a nice overview of whats going on
please do not bombard us with questions about price, when it will be
ready, or getting on a waiting list for one of these yet. We will post
more information on our site and here when this information becomes
available.

777 dollar, wat in nederland neerkwam op zo'n 1200 euro.

Bij EMI in eindhoven hebben ze er volgens mij nog eentje staan.. Voor meer dan die prijs:

ik heb het dingetje daar ook eens gezien, en toen ik een demonstructie wilde, toen deed hij het niet...

kost iets van 1300-1350EUR geloof ik..

Ik heb daar met het ding staan te spelen en toen jeukte het enorm... Ik stond versteld van het makkeljik switchen tussen het typisch 303 geluid naar een andere type geluid.
Het ding kan ook echt klinken als een 303 maar dan met twee vcos. Heel knap! Waarschijnlijk de schuld van die sequencer. En geen flauwekul van patches en dergelijke.. heerlijk!

ik denk het wel.....klopt wel ongeveer met de beschrijving

uw plaatje is een beetje groot ée mike

maar ik heb het ook gezien. dat ziet me er een geschift stuk synth uit :confused:

eens benieuwd wat voor geluid er gaat uitkomen en hoe gemakelijk het te bedienen zal zijn...


(hehe, zoals die lasersynth die jarre mee op podium nam, maar slechts kon bedienen met speciale
zware handschoenen aan )
(of dat zag er voor mij toch zo uit...)

Humm... dan mis ik toch wel wat directe controllers t.o.v. het origineel. Zat op de nieuwe te wachten, maar dan ga ik t.z.t. (als de boom weer aangegroeid is) toch maar naar een 'oude' op zoek... of deze moet natuurlijk veeeeeel beter klinken en meer kunnen.
