geloof me best buy for money,
de text op AH.
Paid $350 for this, including USPS shipping. Read below, make an offer.
Physical: Some scratches next to fuse/power cord. A small 'ding' in the right end cheek near top of panel. Somebody thoughtfully re-varnished the cheeks. All knobs, wheels and switches appear original. Some oxidation visible on a few switches.
Keyboard: Rubber membrane disaster area. It 'works', mostly, though not reliably and feels awful besides. Overall, this is best used as a 'module' from other CV/gate or Midi converter box.
In operation: All knobs, wheels and switches yield desired results. VCOs exhibit some 'jumpiness' between scale settings. Takes about 20 minutes to warm up. Minor 'transformer hum' (archives address this). In 'drone' mode, VCO B pitch intermittently drops and then rises back. Never saw this behavior when using controlled by SH-101. Some switches exhibit 'thud' or 'pop' between positions. Responds very well to external control via SH-101 or Korg Mono/Poly. External Filter CV and Audio Ins work just fine.
The sound: Booming basses, piercing leads and pseudo-modular noises. Very nice, but for me, the 'feel' of the controls is 'wrong'.
I've got good trader refs in the AH archives. Prefer to ship via USPS or FedEx Econo, US bank or PO money orders are good.
If no offers, Wine Country is the next stop...that, 'wanted dead or alive' thing.
Thanks for reading!
