In collaboration with Noodlebar Triphouse Rotterdam organizes the first edition of a new series Saturday night in-store concerts. The Noodlebar collective engages in modular synthesizers and organizes various events that promotes this form of music among the general public.

The sounds that can be heard in this concert will vary from drones, musique concrete and ambient to electronica, house and techno. While enjoying a drink, visitors can see up close and hear the music using often self-built modular synths from raw waveforms will be built into an improvised composition. Also acts will share background information about the gear they use and there is an opportunity to ask questions. The concert is free and open to all ages.

Line up:

Mono Poly - The from Rotterdam founder of the Noodlebar collective will this evening take Serge modular synth. This synth was developed in the 70s and is known as the Swiss Army knife of modular synthesizers because of its versatility.

Boris Scorpio - Has been working in the film industry as a sound designer and editor for various films like Under The Weight Of Clouds and Terug. He is an active member of the WirWar Soundsystem which are active in the Tilburg underground acid scene. Boris uses a Eurorack system and knows a minimal setup always to obtain maximum sound.

Colloid vs sound engineer - With a modular synthesizer, effects pedals, and other instruments, most homemade creates Colloid from Delft from an atmospheric soundtrack combined for tonight with the beats and acid sounds of the sound engineer from The Hague Klankman.

Harry Plotter - This of Mono-Poly art project is focused on the conversion of sound to graphical images by means of a plotter machine that is controlled by a modular synth. The frequencies of the sounds provide beautiful, sometimes strange abstract images that are reminiscent of the famous Spyrograph. There will also be a number of framed works are for sale.
