Roy,
the Device List for MIDI Out A-D is saved with each Sequence.
If you want, you can create an empty sequence and name all your devices in this sequence.
Then, all you have to do is reload or copy that empty sequence as a "template" every time that you want to create a new sequence.
If you want to use AUTOLOAD to load this "template" Sequence on power-up, create a Folder named "Autoload" on your hard drive and save the empty template sequence in that Folder.
When Autoload is ON, the MPC4000 will automatically load the "Autoload" Folder on power-up.
(you can also use the Autoload Folder to save your favorite Multi/Programs/Samples and they will also be loaded on power up and ready to play)
Regarding the Swing setting (and other Timing Correct parameters), those are saved in the "ALL" file (ALL SEQs and SONGs).
If you store a ALL "template" in the Autoload Folder instead of only a Sequence template, the T/C correct parameters will also be loaded.

Parameters saved into Flash Memory/SRAM/Multi/ALL
The parameters saved into Flash Memory are not erased after power off.
The parameters saved into SRAM are stored with backup battery after power is switched off, but will be erased when the backup battery is replaced.
The parameters stored in Multi file/All Sequences & Songs files are erased after power off, but the parameters are loaded when the Multi file/ALL Sequence & Songs file is loaded.
