If you appreciate the full range of a piano keyboard in a lightweight package, the 88-note Keystation 88es is for you. You get great-feeling, semi-weighted action.... blabla..

At the top of Oberheim's master keyboard range is the MC3000, which is unquestionably the most fully equipped MIDI master keyboard on the market today, in terms of controller hardware at your fingertips. It has a full 88 note weight keyboard, with hammeraction effect, plus three assignable wheels, for pitch bend and two modulation functions, an unprecedented 8 assignable sliders on the top panel, 8 assignable foot pedal sockets ( three globally applied and five which can be zone specific) and the togglebuttons for the eight assignable zones. Few other master keyboards offer so many assignable control tools, although Oberheim's own MC3000D module with 8 sliders and the pedal inputs based on this machine, can always be used to augment the facilities of other keyboards, such as digital pianos or 88 note synths which lack the dedicated MIDI controller hardware. The MC3000 has a mouse mat area on the top panel, and a serial mouse socket, so that you can use a mouse to move the cursoraround on its large 240 x64 pixel LCD screen for quicker editing. The keyboard responds to initial velocity and channel aftertouch, each of which is adjustable with 48 preset plus 16 user response curves. There are 8 MIDI outputs and 2 MIDI inputs, and you have total command ofallchannel messages and may assign any MIDI controller from 0 - 127 to any of the hardware controllers, and choose which zones they operate in. Eight discrete zones can be set up, with individual keyboard note and transpose ranges, controller behaviour and response curves etc, enabling multiple splits and layers on the local keyboard or combined with external device from any of he 32 channels of MIDI input. Here you can create an additional 8 auxiliary zones to mergethe hardware controller data from MC3000 with the incoming note data - eg. to add numerous modulation sliders to a MIDI guitar controller using the MC3000. The output of each and every zone is freely assignable across the 128 MIDI output channels, and you can toggle zones on and off with theeight buttons. The MC3000 has 1024 programmes, a virtual patch bay for its routing configurations and up to 128 programmable chain steps so you pre-arrange the program numbers that you will need for a live performance, and switch through them one after another, at the push of a button. If you are a control freak with a large multitimbral MIDI setup and several sound modules, MIDI effects units and also a serious piano playing musician, you will appreciatethe overall package of benefits the MC3000 provides.

groeten,
Tim
