Ik neem aan dat dit ook voor mijn Yamaha A5000 zal werken?
iemand daar ervaringen mee?
1.Yes,it can be directly connected to A5k's IDE port witn an ordinary IDE cable. My A5k can access SD/CF with this cardreader. But this cardreader can't be coexisted with an IDE HD. In my case ,before buying this cardreader ,I installed a 13G Quantum KA inside my A5k. I have set this cardreader as a slave device and it doesn't work. Set it as master and unplug the HD, it works. Another point is , it take much time during you mount and unmount. So I try to adapt it as a SCSI device and now I am happy with that. Mount/Access time is satisfied and I can go on with my IDE HD.
Anyway , SCSI-IDE adapter is NOT required but I recommend personally. I installed that just for my internal IDE HD and "performence".
2. Its power connecter is just like an ordinary one(the same with HD's). I wish I can post some pics here.

my setup is :
[A5k(IDE HD & SCSI cardreader)] - [SCSI device]
[PC(blah blah cardreader)]<-I save wave files to SD and later plug this SD in A5k's cardreader to import wave files...I didn't connect my A5k with SCSI to PC...I have tried before....it works not well under XP...so I give up. Now I don't have a PCI slot to install a SCSI card to make tests.....so I can't give you answers about that.
Or I guess : should I change my setup like this : [PC(SCSI card)] - [My custommade SCSI cardreader]- [A5k] If I connect them like this , then I can save/transfer wave files to cardreader and A5k import that ....but a FAT formatted SCSI device should do that? And I don't think PC can recognize/acess A5k's internal IDE/SCSI devices. I think this one is the same with the AKAI's except color. Compare their slots/led shape and location , you will know what I mean.
well, any advance question welcome.
