Hieroglyphic Being
Hieroglyphic Being (Jamal Moss aka The Sun God aka I.B.M.) is a lost warrior
of sonic truth. We first uncovered his music through his own Mathematics
Records, where we were shocked to find a unique permutation of the Chicago
Jack gene. We came to find out that Jamal was part of the distinguished
Dirty Criminals collective, educated in the biz by Adonis and Steve
Poindexter, and the last of the line of producers directly influenced by Ron
Hardy at the Music Box. This makes him uniquely qualified to write a new
chapter of Chicago's history. His current projects include releasing as
Hieroglyphic Being on Ghostly and Axis, and the Dirty Criminals on Gigolo,
while running his own Mathematics label and overseeing the reissues of the
legendary Muzique label.

Vondt het allemaal niet zo bijzonder. Was er om een uurtje of 12.15 ofzo. Dj die toen speelde wel wel ok. Daarna Hieroglyphic Being. Vondt het soms erg gaaf als alleen z'n drumcomputertje klonk, dan was het lekker rauw, maar als er dan ineens de laptop kwam, bleef er een iel soudje over. Eigelijk had ie ze steeds motten combineren ipv te wisselen tussen beide.Verschil in dynamiek was erg groot zeg maar. Laptop is toch niet je van het Maar toch wel wat fijne soundsjes. DJ erna was niet mijn ding, later werd het wel weer aardig.

Zo en het geluid was weer veelste hard/slecht. Vondt het zelfs soms met m'n -25DB oordoppen niet al te aangenaam.

Ik ben geflitst met 95 waar je 80 mag en reed in het hofje naast waar ik woon achteruit tegen een grote opstaande steen en paaltje dus nu heeft de bumper een grote beschadiging en misschien wat ontvricht. Mot het nog even in het licht bekijken.

Ik heb me prima vermaakt, serieus. Verschil drumcomputer / laptop was inderdaad goed hoorbaar, maar ik vond het niet zo storend. Ik had wel liever gezien dat 'ie de drumcomputer syncte aan de laptop, maar aangezien hij geen midi-device had zat dat er niet in. Ben na 't optreden eigenlijk meteen gegaan, ik had honger (Wilhelmina is de leukste tent van amsterdam, maar als je trek hebt ligt het toch wel iets te ver in de middle of nowhere).
