Hi :)

After hard work on this track I'd like to present You my cover of Jarre's Oxygene 2 track.

It was extreme hard to get this analog feel, big deepness etc :)

Some things can be unquantized... Many sequences like main solo, strings during all track, or horn/oboe solo at the end were played live on my 310 Unique so ;)

Anyway. Enjoy :)

I'd like to thank also to:
- Vincent / Sacha - FrequenZ
- Christian Rossle

for small help :) TXH :)

Used stuff:
- Eminent 310 Unique - strings, plucks, oboe/horn
- Korg Minipops 7 - main rhytm
- Arturia ARP 2600 - second solo, bass, wind
- Roland JV-2080 - main "cosmic" sequence, mellotron

Don't remember well ;)

Oxygene 2 cover [17.5 mb]

Please leave feedback ;)

ps. there are no mistakes in "cosmic sequence"... there were 2 places wher JMJ has cut the tapes :)

Are you sure this isn't Jarre himself? ;) My compliments, great job.

Sounds like the real thing. The main difference is the better recording quality then the early Sony version of the Oxygene CD.

Well done !!! :halleluja

Why not sharing the Eminent settings for beginners of the Eminent sound here? 8)

Hmmm... The solina sounds should be played with almost no vibratto

the plucks = octave 4' + string 4' + percussion button set almost to 0 + a bit of vibratto to get the sound more colorful

oboe + accent solo for oboe sequence :)

Hi RadekTymecki,
It is great that you're a member of our forum, and share your music with us. However, I want to remind you that this is a strictly Dutch forum. Foreign people are allowed offcourse, but all posts should be written in Dutch. I'm sorry, but we have to be strict on this point...

Het engels van Radek is beter te lezen dan het ehm nederlands van sommige forumleden. Komop, iemand die zulke covers maakt kan ons nog wat leren (bv de settings van de 310).

Toelaten dus aub

Radek,

Great job, great contribution. Your experiences are a real inspiration.

Dear Mod,

I think Radek has something to contribute to this forum, so I would pitty it if language would be a problem. What if Radek writes in English, somebody translate it and the Dutch people write in English and Dutch?

Just in case :

Beste Mod,

Volgens mij heeft Radek echt wel iets bij te dragen aan dit forum. Ik zou het dan ook spijtig vinden als de taal een probleem zou vormen. Misschien kan iemand het vertalen, en wij Nederlandstaligen in twee talen schrijven?

The differences with the original are minor. I've probably never heard a cover this close to the JMJ version. My compliments :halleluja (who dares to state that hardware is way better than software synths ... the ARP2600V in the rights hands :okdan: ).

Love to hear more of your work :) .

:doei:

Thank you for posting this track, i really enjoyed listening to it. :okdan:

Heb je ook de ARP2600V gebruikt voor de sound effects ?

- did you use the ARP2600v for making the sound effects ? -
