Buchla!!!!! Ik ben heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel benieuwd!

This an auction for a Vintage Buchla analog modular synthesiser. It is a "Buchla Box" 100 series, probably from the late 60s based on it being labeled CBS nusical instruments, indicating it was made when Buchla teamed up with CBS/Fender for a short time in the late 60s. Interestingly I got it 20 years ago at an auction in NYC. Is it possible this was used in workshops given by Buchla for NYU in the Bleeker street studio?

It's in good shape for its age, the wood has a lot of wear from the last 30 years but is still structurally sound, ready for restoration, someone has installed a handle on the front for easier carrying. Please note, this is only half of the system I origionaly bought, it had an up right portion with 12 more modules that sat on top of the flat portion of this unit. Unfortunately, it fell in a move and the wooden case was broken beyond repair. The 12 modules are fine and will be selling seperately in other auctions over the next week. (See my other auctions or search keywork Buchla synthesizer modules.) The are some very nice modules on this unit though, including the famous capacitance-sensitive touch-plate keyboard allowing a chromatic scale to be programmed right acrosss the keyboard.

The modules included on this unit are: Touch controlled voltage source model 112, Timing pulse generater model 140, Sequential voltage source model 123 (very nifty module.), dual instrument pre-amplifier model 171 and Envelope detector model 130. The modules are in great shape, very little permanent damage, mostly just dirt and a little corrosion on one key. The unit powers up and some basic patching indicates that it is all working, some pots are a little sticky at first, but clean right up . I don't know enough about these to really test it completely, so it's sold as is as a vintage collectable, the rest is up to you.

This is a very rare piece of vintage technology that simply cannot be re created today, Please, serious bidders only. I fully plan to go through with the auction, so please don't bother asking to buy out early.
