Raar dat er geen midi-thru op zit. Zeker als je bedenkt dat je dit als master keyboard zou willen gebruiken.
En ook een externe voeding (fijn die adapters).

Het lijkt wel alsof ze doorgeschoten zijn met bezuinigen van de meest basic dingen die je er graag op wilt. (Ik iig wel)

Of begrijp ik nou iets verkeerd.

Ziet er leuk uit! Is dit nou zeg maar de cs2x van vandaag?

Volgens mij niet, want de cs2x was een 'echte' synthesizer, waar je zelf geluiden mee kon maken. Aan de specs te zien is de yamaha mm-serie een soort workstation zonder synthfuncties (geen user voices op te slaan).

Ander concept dus. Heeft iemand dit ding ooit gehoord, is ie klankmatig een beetje aardig? Als het echt geluid á la de motif is, dan is het wel een aardige prijs (al zou ik in die prijsklasse denk ik meer gecharmeerd zijn van de x50 van korg, wat wel een synth is)

Nou, da's toch wel een van de lelijkste synths in jaren. En zo'n oppervlak en dan van die kleine prutsknopjes. Een echte oostblokker.

Aangezien dit de 27 meertoetserige broer van de MM6 is kan ik er klankmatig over zeggen dat ie klinkt als een Motif, alleen dan 1 met de polyfonie nogmaals gehalveerd (32) tov de MO8 (64) [en die was dan weer gehalveerd tov de ES(128 )] . Met de FX hebben ze ook soortgelijke geintjes uitgehaald dus de MM klinkt niet helemaal zoals een MO (en die klinkt ook niet helemaal als een ES dus)
De MM8 is het instapmodel van de Motifserie met 88 toetsen en ie weegt 15 kg. Is ook te gebruiken als midicontroller, al heeft Yamaha nu ook die nieuwe controllers inelkaargeschroefd, de K-serie. Persoonlijk zou ik geen MM6/8 kopen, maar in elk geval een MO want daar zit tenminste de volledige ES soundset in (en in de MM 'slechts' een soort van "best of" Motif sounds) En over het klavier? Nou ja dat van de MO6 was ook niet zo goed als mijn eigen Motif6, maar dat van de MM6 is is dan nog een tikje erger (maarja dat hele ding is van (lelijk)plastic, maarja weegt maar iets van 3kg dus dat is het enige voordeel wat ik zou kunnen verzinnen) Ik gok trouwens dat die MM8 iets van 700 euro ofzo gaat kosten.......
