This auction is for one (1) CSI Model 6F13 Analog Computer.
This is a very rare analog computer that was built by Compumedic Sciences Incorporated. It was originally owned originally by the NTDC, (Naval Training Device Center) of Orlando, Florida and put into service in 1970. There isn't much information about this machine on the web except for this page on the Analog Museum website. This unit has 5 op-amps in various configurations and 6 coefficient potentiometers.
I do not have a manual or any documentation for this machine! I do not have any patch cords for this machine! It uses a mini-banana plug which can be readily purchased from most electronics suppliers, such as Mouser or Digi-Key.
The unit is in very good condition. The outer case has some scratches and scuffs, but the modules are very clean, although some do have small ink markings. The unit does power up and the main control module seems to be working. I have tested the +-10V lines and those are working fine. I do not know if any of the modules work or function like they are supposed to because I do not have any cables to patch them up. Considering its age, it would be very suprising if it works 100%. Most likely it will need some work, whether it be re-capping, or replacement of other parts.
This unit would be suitable for use in experimental music as, electrically, it is compatible with any modular system. It has a very good set of modules, some are rather unique, like the digital converters.
