DIY Project ML-303 Bassline V4 WITH sequencer-clone!

Hi,

after many years of TB-Cloning today the ML-303 V4 BassLine WITH Sequencer will be released!

The V4 analog board is based on the V3 - but was completly re-designed.
The CA3080 VCA was exchanged with a ROHM BA6110. Slide, Accent and Sound are now
even better. Also the SQUARE-Wave sounds better now.

A real highlight is the new sequencer-board :-) I cloned the TB-303 sequencer with a modern
40 MHz PIC-RISC prozessor. The firmware can be updated over Midi-Sysex - without using a
PIC-Burner.

The timings of the original sequencer were reproduced - this is the main reason why the slide
sounds much better now than on the older analog-boards.

The V4 will be - as always- available a DIY Kits (Kit A or Kit B) and there is a Upgrade-Kit for
owners of V2/V3 (Kit C oder Kit D) available which includes the sequencer only. The PCB`s
are in industry-quality, 2 Layers, with soldering-mask and solder-print.

New is that the V4 will be available as "Build-on-request" version.

The V4 series is limited to 45 pieces (due to rare VCA`s and Japan transistors).

This week i will collect the money and beginning of next week i will make a centralized buying
of all parts and will order the PCB`s (the production and printing of them will take around 2 weeks).

and your address.

Hi zwaart,

my NL`ish is not that good :confused: but i think i know what you mean

The problem for me is that this is only a very small series (about 45 pieces)
and i`m not like a big company. So i have to collect the money before i can
order the PCB`s (they are manufactured in industry quality with printing and
soldermask and so on) and they are expensive. Also the other componants
to see how many people will really take a kit. There are often people who
order a kit but don`t pay and so i have a high risk with this nor the capital to
pre-finance all these parts.

Really hope you understand this.
If you`re still scrupling just mail me and we will see what we can do

Ik zag dit berichtje en ik moest natuurlijk ff reageren ...
Mathias is zeker wel te vertrouwen Ik heb een maandje ofzo terug de v3 versie bij hem gekocht, via ebay.de
Mijn geld in een brief gepropt en naar Duitsland verstuurd en kreeg natuurlijk gewoon mijn ml-303 v3 terug gestuurd.
Dus zeker goed te vertouwen... (ik wist wel een paar smoesjes )

oja...... ik ben nog niet begonnen met het bouwen van mijn ml-303, nog geen tijd gehad (nieuwe baan enzo)!

Maar leuk om te zien dat Mathias hier ook rondloopt

Offtopic: Mathias what is your connection with Thorsten Klose ? And what are prices for the sequencerboard and the synth board?

Hi Carel

In the www.elektro-kartell.de forum there was born a DIY synthesizer called "simplesizer",
from www.anyware-instruments.de and i was (and i`m again) there for the midi part and
collecting the money from the people. In this community i found the contact to Thorsten
Klose and asked him to use his bootloader code for the ML303 V4 and he agreed friendly,
so he got a little donation from me for his great work on this. So it`s used under license
from him The rest of the sequencer-code was developed completly by myself.

I would like to say that this project was not intend to earn a lot o money and get rich,
it was really done only for DIY- and 303-Freaks and not for a big production.

- ik heb een tijd geleden en aantal van soundsamples van de tb cloon geluisterd en ze zijn ok
als je een TB-cloon zoek
en een TB-fetisischt bent
dan is dit een goede optie
[de syntecno mk3 van robert is niet meer in de maak,
en dat was een erug goede cloon ,redlijke prijs met 4x cv/gate enz ]

what do you think of other clones
like the syntecno mk3 [yellow] its more xpensive , but a good sound ,[also a 18db filter like tha TB ]
and lots a goodies ; like cv /gate /ring mod. /dinsync /midimerge/enz
ive got mine fore 5 years ,and even sold my original TB ,[cracky pottiesenz]
value for money haha,
but ive never regred it ,[bought myself some other analog goodies,....]

From all clones i liked the syntecno teebee most > . It really sounds good and has a lot of features.
But it does not have a sequencer

Of course the ML has the original filter too. The whole analog board is original circuit, we analysed
a real TB for building the ML.
The sequencer is of course completly different technical design.

geen problemen met het overmaken van het geld, en 1 week later alles netjes thuisgestuurd gekregen.
alleen jammer dus dat ze er niet meer zijn hij had er maar 45 geloof ik.
Bij scheaffer apparatenbau in Berlin een 19" frontpanel laten frezen, nu nog ff een paar uurtjes solderen en klaar is Kees (hoop ik).....

maar hoe duur is het nou? met of zonder pots/knoppen/frontplaat?

die pdf deed het niet hier vandaar...

voor de printplaten en de onderdelen heb ik 199 euro betaald, voor de frontplaat 50, knoppen enzo moet ik ook nog aanschaffen, dus die kun je zo duur maken als je maar wilt.
