Die Reason extensions beginnen nu wel echt volgas uit te komen he. Voor de Reasonheads een hele fijne bron van nieuwe inspiratie schat ik zo!

Mwa, eerlijk gezegd, als ik naar mezelf kijk, is het nieuwe er nu wel vanaf en heb ik bijna alle standaard modules vervangen voor RE's, indien ik dat nodig vond. Het moet wel iets speciaals zijn wil ik het tegenwoordig nog testen. Enige waar ik van zou opspringen zijn een goeie TR 909 RE (de maker van de Boom 808 zou ermee bezig gaan) of zoiets als Microtonic als RE.

Het gevaar zit hem nu in door de bomen het bos niet meer zien, zeker voor beginners. Hoe ga je kiezen uit 6 verschillende compressors ? Of 8 verschillende reverbs ? En je trail van 30 dagen mag je maar 1 keer gebruiken. Mocht je na een tijdje meer kennis en ervaring hebben dan kan je dus niet opnieuw de zaken in een nieuw daglicht beluisteren. Hoe meer Re's er zijn, hoe belangrijker het is om te vergelijken.

Oja, een betere sampler sta ik wel om te springen. Maar ik vermoed dat ze die eventueel bewaren voor de Reason 8 update, ook ivm de beperkingen van RE nu (je kan geen eigen samples laden en de grafische beperkingen nu).

About this product
In common with many other types of audio level meter, PPMs originally used electro-mechanical displays. These took the form of moving-coil panel meters or mirror galvanometers with demanding 'ballistics': the key requirement being that the indicated level should rise as quickly as possible with negligible overshoot. These displays require active driver electronics.
Nowadays PPMs are often implemented as 'bargraph' incremental displays using solid-state illuminated segments in a vertical or horizontal array. For these, IEC 60268-10 requires a minimum of 100 segments and a resolution better than 0.5 dB at the higher levels.
Many operators prefer the moving-coil meter type of display in which a needle moves in an arc, because an angular movement is easier for the human eye to monitor than the linear movement of a bargraph.

The VU-meter was designed not to measure the signal, but to let users aim the signal level to a target level of 0 VU (sometimes labelled 100%), so it is not important that the device is non-linear and imprecise for low levels. In effect, the scale ranges from −20 VU to +3 VU.

ik wil niet upgraden naar Reason 7 dus leek mij die RE60 een ideaal hulpje bij het checken van het spectrum op problematische piekfrequenties.. Is het die 29,- waard?
