The functioning apparatus is pushed further ahead to new dimensions. Call it bending or esoterica, getting rid of your consumer electronics... dematerialize yourself and go CHROMO FLEX.
DE PLAYER proudly presents an evening with Audrey Chen, Maria Chavez, Yann Leguay, and Tav Exotic. Audrey and Maria are two of the strongest voices in current experimental music. They combine cello, turntable and voice, fusing their shared practices of improvisation in a duo set. Yann Leguay is a very interesting 'jack-of-all-trades' artist from France via Bruxelles whose work is all about the materiality of sound. Last but certainly not least, Tav Exotic will be inviting you to thump around with their combination of frolicking live synths and drum machines.

■ TAV EXOTIC (be)
Not unlike the recent dance blowout of Dick El Demasiado at our last event, we now have Tav Exotic to get loose at the end of this evening. Bob awkwardly to the infectious live electro psychedelia of this dynamic duo. Tav Exotic = Mikey 'Weird Dust' Crabbé and Ernesto 'Bear Bones, Lay Low' / Silvester Anfang II' González.

■ AUDREY CHEN (us)
Using the cello, voice and analog electronics, Audrey Chen’s work delves deeply into her own version of narrative and non-linear storytelling. A large component of her music is improvised and her approach to this is extremely personal and visceral. Her playing explores traditional and extended techniques in both the voice and cello. Recently she has begun to shift back towards the exploration of the voice as a primary instrument, see for example her voice only duo with Phil Minton.

■ MARIA CHAVEZ (pe)
Maria Chavez is a much talked about sound artist / turntablist from Lima, Peru. She uses her record needles as 'pencils of sound', drawing abstract, improvised sonic patterns over vinyl records. Her sound installations, visual objects and live turntable performances focus on the values of accidents and chance. Maria recently signed with Software, a label founded by Oneohtrix Point Never's Daniel Lopatin and is due to release her first full length LP, some time in 2015.

■ YANN LEGUAY (fr)
French sound artist operating from Bruxelles, often in the guise of PHONOTOPY which also functions as his label. Yann's work is all about sound, in particular the 'materiality' of it. By modifying and diverting from the reality of the material (either sounds or actual objects) he affects the sensibility of the listener and changes perceptions. He also composes film soundtracks and participates in choreography projects.
