The XL-7 takes the synth engine of E-MU®'s powerful Proteus® 2000 and XL-1 sound modules and combines it with a new grooving Multi track Sequencer. The XL-7 is equipped with a one octave, velocity sensitive key pad with aftertouch, a touch strip and an arsenal of control knobs, buttons and switches. The sounds are designed for Electronica/High Energy Dance styles and can easily be expanded via the XL-7's additional ROM slots. The XL-7 is a Table top groove station/musical monster that can also be easily rack mounted into a 6-space rack. The XL-7 provides you with 512 presets, 128 voice polyphony, 128 Factory Sequences with hundreds of user locations, dual effects processors and 3 extra expansion slots that can be fitted with any of the Proteus 2000 library of ROMs. The XL-7 is also a dynamic MIDI controller that offers you the ability to work with external MIDI devices via its Sequencer, Arpeggiators, Controller Knobs, Trigger button section and Key Pad. The XL-7 sets the standard for what a professional Dance groove instrument should be.
