As an aside, even my Jupiter 6 overloads very easily if I crank up the VCA level too much. It is designed so that you can balance, depending on how you play it, greater level against playing more notes. I'm not making excuses for Novation not getting back to you BTW, just saying that I would never have thought to mention this aspect of the Jupiter 6 in a review either...
Well, I've explained the gain issues and the fact that when I program a patch I set the gain so that it does not overload according to the way I am going to play the patch - the same as for any synth, even my Jupiter 6.
I was shown a crackling that happened when you adjust tempo whilst an arpeggio is playing and agree that is a software bug. In terms of the crackling performances, none of the ones I tried during the review crackled for me (they are different since OS2 I think because of all the new drum patterns etc.). I see a performance as a collection of four individual patches for layering or multitimbral use - and I extensively programmed my own during the review and was highly impressed.
I guess I should state that a review is not a beta test. I play instruments in the way that makes sense to me and if I spot any problems I raise them as an issue. I understand that people expect high standards from SOS reviews and I always try to use something as fully as I can. Maybe had I reviewed OS2 and its new patches I would have stumbled across them and pointed out that the programmers did not seem to understand the synth's structure too well. This is only my perspective based on playing it again after reading this forum. I can only apologise if you feel I have let you down in some way - I myself bought a K-Station and use it a lot. Not sure what else I can add - I have tried to get Novation to contribute to this forum and have received a message saying they are aware of the issues and intend to do something. I wish I could do more.
