Met een klein beetje pijn in mijn hart mag ga ik hem toch weg doen, omdat hij gebruikt moet worden vind ik en nu zo zielig in mijn rack zit.

1)-Electro Harmonix Vocoder
This is where Electro Harmonix started to get really serious……arguably the single most innovative of all the electronic effects manufacturers, Electro Harmonix excelled even themselves with this one. The concept of approaching the vocoder as a musical instrument rather than a studio processing tool, enabled EH to create an absolutely killer effects device. This different approach yielded a vocoder that was hands-on, simple to use, intuitive and unique in it's field……..a field that incorporated other units costing up to ten times the EH vocoder's release price. What set the EH unit apart, in my opinion, was the choice of frequency bands - fourteen fixed frequencies barely 3 semitones apart. (as opposed to half octaves or octaves etc.) Totally different results can be achieved using the EH vocoder as compared to say, the Synton, EMS or Sennheiser devices - but all these results are eminently usable. The EH may not look overly impressive or unusual, but it's rarer and more difficult to obtain worldwide than the proverbial gallinaceous mastication devices. (That one's for you, Paul Perry!) Overall, this is a serious processing device for the serious professional and an absolute must for the dedicated techno/electronica doofboy.
