BOB MOOG LIVE CONCERT CD - ASHEVILLE NC - 1980
Believed to be the only existing recording of synthesizer inventor Bob Moog performing music on his most famous invention, recorded at a concert at the Art Museum in Asheville North Carolina in November, 1980. Performers include Bob Moog, keyboardist Michael Abbott and composer Dan Lewis on acoustic guitar and 32-string ukelin. All compositions copyright by Dan Lewis.
AVAILABLE NOWHERE ELSE.
I am the one surviving artist on this concert recording and personally own this music. This is a rare collector CD, with only 1,000 copies ever made. It is unlikely that any more will ever be made. During this live concert, Moog speaks,tells synthesizer stories from his career and performs on MINI-MOOG. Included is a booklet with photos, describing the event and the story behind it.
There is also a practice session of the performance material recorded earlier at Big Briar, in Moog's workshop in western North Carolina, outside Asheville, North Carolina in the Blue Ridge mountains.
