Clavia Nord Stage

Clavia heeft op een persconferentie op de MusikMesse de Nord Stage aangekondigd. Het is een combinatie van Organ, Stagepiano en een 1-oscillator synth, die in combinatie met elkaar of los bespeeld kunnen worden. Er zit een FX unit, compressor en EQ op, die waarschijnlijk ook externe audio aankunnen. Meer details volgen als het goed is snel.

- Extensive effects section: Chorus, Flanger, Wah, Phaser, Tremolo, Ring Mod., Pan and Delays, plus Leslie emulation.
- Amplifier emulation that recreates Fender Twin, Roland Jazz Chorus, and Rhodes Suitcase amplifiers.

- Mega Clavinet D6, Wurlitzer 200A, Rhodes Mark 1, Electric Grand model G Yamaha C7 Acoustic Grand Piano and an upright piano (both ac. pianos produce sympathetic string resonance)
- USB port
- subtractive synth architecture, with FM, digital wavetables
- Filter section with 12db and 24db filters
- Equalizer, vibrato, a glide function, and a continuous unison knob
- Rhodes-type detachable legs

Medelevend, ofwel niet aangeslagen snaren klinken toch omdat ze gaan meetrillen met een van de harmonischen van de aangeslagen snaar (als de demper er af is). Krijg je nu ook dat typische medeleven als je met de vlakke hand een klap op het rode moster geeft ? Of de klep dichtsmijt ? Ja, wanneer komen ze met een synth met klep ? Of anders een VA met variabele klepdichtsmijt parameter knop en filter om vlakke hand, bierglas of hamerslag attack te emuleren ! Demping door zwaarleunende zangeres ? We zijn er nog lang niet ! Meer suggesties ?

Maar bij clavia staat er toch nergens "1 osc"? Blijkbaar heeft iemand dat ergens opgepikt, maar wat valt er te FM-en als je maar 1 osc hebt? Misschien is het toch nog niet zo erg. Tenzij ze LFO --> OSC voor vibrato etc onder de FM noemer schuiven natuurlijk

As promised we searched for more information on the New Nord Stage, and we got a few details from Clavia. The Stage is not quite based on the Electro and Lead 3. However the Stage will contain an Organ, Piano adn a ONE-Oscillator synth engine. All three sections can be played as stand alone or in combination. As well the FX unit, Compression unit and EQ unit.

De Nord Star bestaat niet, de Nord Stage wel.

Inderdaad maar '1' Oscillator synth, maar met een 'onzichtbare' FM Osc volgens het Rob Hordijk Keyboardtracking systeem... Naast 'Analoog' (zaagtand) ook FM en Wave Tables.

Eenvoudige Filters: HP, LP12 en LP24 dB

Natuurlijk Unison

Het synth deel is bedoeld om de gewone geluiden van de piano's en de orgels (Hammod, Farfisa en Vox) wat op te luisteren met strings en zo

Verder is het instrument 'dubbel' uitgevoerd, zodat er veel verschillende instellingen mogelijk zijn, b.v. twee orgels op een split keyboard.

Belangrijk is de Master Keyboard functie! Je kan er andere synths aanhangen.
