It's pretty easy to use, most parameters are accessable via the 7 knobs, the rest are a button click away.
It uses the commonly criptic 2-digit LED display, but its not bad enuff to hinder its ease of use too terribly.
The manual is well layed out and easy to understand, but so is the synth, only once in my 4 year history with this synth have i had to refer to the manual (for setting midi channel).
Features: 8
Only 450 of these were ever made (1999), VERY rare.
Monophonic analog/digital hybrid.
There are 99 sound banks, about 40 of them are user savable, the other 50-ish are pre-sets (mostly analog leads and basses).
It has 99 selectable wave forms! probally the greatest asset of this synth.
Also has an audio input to process external sounds thru its self-oscilating low pass analog filter.
The only built in effect is a distortion knob.
Basic midi capabilities, nothing too fancy..
Expressiveness/Sounds: 8
The sound (and general layout) reminds me alot of the Novation BassStation rack v.1, if you heard the bass station, this is alot like that. It's best for analog bass's and leads in various incarnations of electronica music, but the distortion (overdrive) effect is great for the harder edge of techno.
