Kom er net achter dat ik eigenlijk best weinig kennis heb van midi.

Ik wil 2 samplers aansturen met mn JX1 (functioneert puur als masterkeyboard)

1 sampler lukte wel maar nu de s950 erbij is gekomen...
Heeft iemand de oplossing? het moet toch simpel zijn heb ik het idee...

hoe heb je het nu aangesloten?
Werkt de s950 wel als die aangesloten is op de s6000-plaats? (s950 ipv s6000)

Misschien de via midi-thru van de s6000 naar de midi-in van de s950 ?

Wat me 'puzzled' in je plaatje: je gebruikt 2x een pc midi interface? Wil je dat van beide zowel de midi in-out verbonden zijn met de in-out van de samplers en vervolgens de Jx ook nog ergens kwijt? Of wil je direct vanuit de JX de 2 samplers aansturen?

Ik neem aan dat de basis bekend is bij je. Maar voor de zekerheid:
Hoe ik het deed met twee modules (live):
masterkeyboard midi out -> synth module_1 midi in (kanaal 1)
synth module_1 midi through -> synth module_2 midi in (kanaal 2)

heb hem nu zo..

dat werkt dus niet.
De s950 hoor je wel als ik een toets indruk. neemt wel op maar speelt niet af in cubase.

Het klopt dat je m niet hoort bij het afspelen, de through stuurt alleen maar direct onbewerkt door wat íe via 'in' binnen krijgt. Waarom zet je m niet op de midi-out van creamware 2?? De software zorgt wel voor het midi-thru effect.

Maar dat werkt alleen als er software draait, want zonder software is MIDI zo dood als 'n pier in je computer.
Althans, dat is bij mij zo.

De aansluitingen an sich zijn niet voldoende: er moeten ook verbindingen gelegd worden naar de poorten.
En dat doe je dus in de MIDI instellingen in de software.

mmm, dit betekent wel dat ik de samples uit mijn akai s950 heel hoog moet transponeren(waar geen samples van de s6000 zitten) anders hoor ik de s6000 erdoorheen. Dit kan niet worden verholpen of wel?

De S950 kan op een specifiek kanaal luisteren, de s6000 zou dat toch ook moeten kunnen.

MIDI FUNCTIONS
Next to the EDIT PROGRAM button is the MIDI button and here you can set the
basic 'global' MIDI parameters for the 5950.
To access the MIDI pages, press the MIDI button and the display will read:
>01 *Basic MIDI channel *Omni on/off
(O1 to 16) 1 ON
These are the default settings if you turn the S950 on with no disk inserted.
It tells you that OMNI is switched to ON (i.e. it will receive all MIDI
channels and so will operate with the MIDI controller regardless of its
setting). To set the S950 so that it responds to one channel only, you must
turn OMNI to OFF and this is done by moving the cursor to the Omni on/off
field by pressing the 'cursor >' button twice and then pressing the OFF(-)
button on the blue keypad. You can now move the cursor to the Basic MIDI
channel field by pressing the 'cursor <' button and make your data entry
using the CONTROL knob or by inputting a two digit number on the keypad. The
5950 will now only receive MIDI on the selected channel only.
Mote: The channel selected here sets the base MIDI channel for the 5950.
Using Page 16 In ED17 PROGRAM. you can. of course, set individual keygroups
to respond to different MIDI channels relative to this base channel using the
MIDI channel offset feature in order to set up a multl-timbral situation
suitable for multi channel sequencing. Please refer to ED17 PROGRAM for more
information on this.


BTW. Door de software (cubase) op de juiste kanalen te laten sturen moet het toch mogelijk zijn om midi thru te omzeilen met twee klankbronnen en twee midi interfaces dunkt me? Midi thru is onhandig omdat je kanalen moet reserveren.
Aan de andere kant, met samplers zal je wellicht weinig midi-out signalen versturen?
