De Ozric Tentacles geven een concert in Londen met de originele bezetting zoals in 1984.

Is er interesse van uit SF om gezamelijk met een aantal liefhebbers van deze groep vanuit NL naar Londen te reizen om daar het concert bij te wonen?

Crusties of London rejoice! Festival scene veterans Ozric Tentacles are putting on a special gig for themselves and their friends this July. The line-up also includes Ozric offshoots Eat Static and Nodens Ictus, as well as psychedelic sister-in-law System 7.

Ozrics original line-up met at the Stonehenge Free Festival back in 1984 and the party-in-a-field has been their staple diet ever since. This is where they built up a massive following of fans that followed the various other bands which splintered off.

System 7 on the other hand, represent a bona fide link between the guitar bands of the 70s and the rave scene. When guitarist Steve Hillage met Alex Patterson from the Orb at a free party in the late 80s, it reignited his career. Ditching traditional backing for beats and synths, he continued his outlandish fret board experimentation.

This gig will blend the best of space rock, psy-trance and ambient noodlings altogether under one enormous kaleidoscopic psychedelic umbrella. The Pongmasters Ball will evoke the spirit of 1990 in central London.
