This very hip pedal from the old Ibanez 9 series is a definite keeper. Two sliders and 3 mini-toggle switches take care of sensitivity, peak, filter, drive, and range duties. Tons of funky wah and filter combinations are at your fingertips with this one. What makes the AF so sought after is its rich robust sound and unrivaled sensitivity. All of your picking dynamics are recognized by the AF-9 and amazing sounds emerge from it. Whether you need traditional pick wah, gurgling underwater sounds, nasal sweeps, or warm analog bleeps, the AF-9 can be called into action. Compared to all the Boss filters (T-Wah, Dynamic Filter, & Dynamic Wah) or even the older Ibanez AF-201, the Ibanez AF-9 reigns supreme in the world of small pedal stompers. The sound is so wonderful this thing can even give the heralded Mutron III a very nice run for its money.
