The sequencer borrows quite a lot from the electribes (ie very intuitive and easy, good realtime editing) the sampler section is probably the most full featured of any Korg product to date and will do phrase sampling as well as more indepth stuff, but it is not going to offer the capabilities of say a dedicated Emu sampler, ie complex multis etc. The synth section will be loosely based on the MS2000/Prophecy model but with more polyphony and way better filters (than the MS at least) There MAY be a full featured vocoder included but this is not confirmed to make it onto the final production models, the FX will largely be based upon existing Korg algorithms with 4 effects available simultaneously plus a single mastering effect and compression and eq on every track. The touchview technology from the Trinity range is likely to be included, but like the Trinity it will not be a color screen. There will be a number of expansion options available but these have not been finalised, but could include mLan/firewire, HD option, PCM voice boards, etc. It is not clear wheter it will be a keyboard or tabletop unit or both at this stage, the sequencer will also have some features from the Karma but to a lesser extent. Thats pretty much everything I know, it is still in the R&D labs at present so some of these features may not make it onto the production units, but also some additional features could be implemented, Korg UK have taken a big part in the concept of this product and initial announcements may be made on the Korg UK website in March, it will likely ship towards the end of July. I say get saving because it is going to be awesome.
Waar of niet waar... De toekomst zal het leren.
Het is vaak wel zo dat korg producten net wat 'professioneler' zijn dan die van de concurrenten (= mijn mening
). Dus laten we hopen.
