how much worth a Prophet VS secondhand?
sorry , im noy understand Dutch, but i see here is a verry strong secondhand market , so .... ??

Theyre rather fragile though (specialy the keys-version) so selling(and buying) might be tricky. There's one with an aftertouch problem which seems quite common with the VS for sale on marktplaats for a couple of months for 1400 and its not selling. Id say 1000 to 1250 for keys max, rackversion might go up to 1400. And i wouldnt buy keys cause it doesnt add a lot(controls are not a strong point for the VS).
Also, theres quite some competition with the Poly Evolver at the moment doing pretty much the same as a VS

If your buying the Evolver might be a safer bet(and a more flexible one)

sounds Evolver good as VS ? cus im sceptic with new analogs , i haved loth of newer generations of analog synthis , but allways be happy with older ones ...

I would def like to hear them back 2 back, i only have the Poly Evolver.

The Evolver has the specs(and the same maker, Dave Smith) and the added flavour on the wave table-front when compared to the Arturia Prophet V emulation(ran them back2back, Evolver kills it big time).

Besides that its a very powerfull and reliable synth with the added value of the analog voices and tons of character.

Does anyone on synthforum own both?
