midi in and out and shake it all about !!!

Hello everyone , here goes..
i've got my midi controller keyboard going to Kawai module's midi 'IN' then the module midi 'OUT' going to my Edirol midi 'IN' interface conected to my MAC G4...right , still with me ? good ... I can see that the signal is going from the keybaord to Logic 6.3.3 as volume controls etc move. but if I draw somthing in the martix window , i can see it plays but I can't hear anything , all other sound is ok from my computer and module , it's just i dont get a sound from Logic , as you may have noticed i'm new to this and find it a bit frustrating .....is there somthing i can check , I've been thru the manuls with no joy ...thanks
