Weet iemand of de Russische versies van Electro Harmonix effecten veel verschillen van Amerikaanse qua sound? En zo ja, hoe, wat waar?

The Russian Small Stone is creamy, warbly, warm, lush, eerie, dark, and gloomy sounding. Yep, It's analog.
The USA however is a different animal. It's still creamy, warbly, and lush, but it's bassier, thicker, and more soupy. It's got a certain character to it. The best mode on this pedal is the Color mode, while on the Russian, it's the regular mode. The regular mode on the USA Reissue sounds good, but something's missing. Too much bass in the regular mode, yet the Russian black box version misses this bass in the color mode that the USA Stone has.
So how would I compare it? The Russian sounds best when the color is off, the USA sounds best when the color is on. So if you're deciding which one to get, it's your preference really. Do you like a deep, swoopy, irregular, 4-stage phase? Or do you like the traditional Small Stone color-down sound? I can't decide which one to sell. I have to sell one though, because I'm short on cash. Hm...this will be tough.
I have the black box russian reissue. I love the sound on this thing. It warms up my tone and gives emphasis on my playing. I like it better that most other phasers out there. I tried the Danelectro Pepperoni and the Ibanez PH-7 before, and I really liked them, but I still keep coming back to my small stone.
so you're asking...what's the difference between this russian reissue and the more expensive USA reissue?
let me explain. the USA gives off a more sharper, brighter phase, and the Russian gives you a little warmer, darker tone. Don't get me wrong -- it's not muffled. It's just warm, like analog. I wouldn't be surprised if this had analog circuitry.
The USA has a wider phasing capability, and sounds like alot of the other standard brighter phasers. The Russian tends to stand alone, providing it's own special phasing tone. The warm, dark sound on this pedal almost makes you feel lonely and gloomy. Just that great analog sound. You can't beat that with a silver spoon.
There is a slight volume drop when I switch the small stone on, but it doesn't seem to drain TOO much tone out of my signal while it's dormant. I'd say that the volume drop is about 1-2db when you turn it on. It's not a bad thing, but if you're a true bypass freak like I sometimes am, you might want to check out either getting this modded with a dtpt switch for true bypass or look for something else with a cleaner signal.

The analog phasing which accompanies the Eminent organ (" Oxygen ", " Equinox"...), comes from a simple pedal Electro Harmonix Small Stone, skilfully modified by Michel Geiss, and " underfed more exactly " (eight volts instead of nine), which makes its sonority more pleasant
