voor een 303 leek als ik, wel geinig om al die vergelijkingen te horen tussen het origineel en
de klonen. Er zit toch behoorlijk wat verschil tussen zo her en der...
ik weet niet of het aan mijn gehoor ligt, maar het lijkt alsof de x0xbx0x bij de slide hoger pitched
als het voorbeeld van de echte 303. Maar dat zal dan wel ook zo ingesteld zijn denk ik dan.

Ik vindt dat de maker van die vergelijkingstest niet helemaal goed z'n best gedaan heeft.
Je hoort gewoon dat de knopinstellingen van sommige niet hetzelfde zijn en dat ze
beter op het orgineel zouden kunnen lijken.

ik heb wel eens eerder die lijst die zij nu op haar site heeft staan geluisterd
toen viel mij op dat ze die samples van die teebee invergelijking tot de samples van de echt een beetje kort hebben gehouden
niet voor niets waarschijnlijk
laat maar komen dat bouwpakketje

Ik vond het wel een goede test en de TEEBEE kwam er het beste uit, vind ik.. maar die heeft dan weer geen sequencer.
Ik vind 1 303 inderdaad te weinig en wacht eventjes tot de hype over is, want ik lees hier op het forum dat een 303 echt niets waard is en dus zal de prijs wel zakken.. Ik betwijfel het.. Maar goed. Ik wil voor 300-400 euro best een 90% clone of zo.. met sequencer, die wellicht ook nog zelf te hacken is...

Ik denk dat de settings van de x0xb0x in vergelijking met
die van de 303 niet echt dezelfde zijn... dus vergelijken is
inderdaad moeilijk.
2 dingen vielen mij op:
Ik vind de resonantie van de x0xb0x trouwens wel heel
erg natuurlijk klinken...
Zelfs met de verschillende settings heeft de 303 gewoon
meer fuzz en een iets meer gehyped bottom-end.
Kon ik gewoon maar ff zelf aan die knoppen van de x0xb0x
draaien

yeah we basically downloaded those old samples, then tried to figure out what pattern they were playing and
what settings they were using. which is why its not the best comparison, but we thought it would be a
good introduction we could do. one problem is that we dont know how they recorded them (line out? headphone? studio?) and that almost all of them are clipped which of course adds distortion (which is why our samples sound 'softer' and 'cleaner') if you have any specific (english) comments/suggestions (not "it doesnt sound like a 303") about the samples they are appreciated. rock on.

wouldn't it be best to just do a A-B with the 303 you have over there? Keep everything equal recordingwise and have them keep playing the same pattern. Then do some extreme cutoff sweeps with maximum resonance, with 50% resonance and 0% resonance? That wouldn't be of any help comparing it to other clones, but hey.
The samples as they are now were not too bad, especially for a 300$ MIDI+USB interfaced 303-clone, haha.

that was my idea, but mark wanted to try to match these other samples & i was too busy writing the user manual
to convince him otherwise. we'll probably do something like that next. we're (still!) waiting for a friend of ours to write up a good track to play. lazy DJs!
