Volgens een artikeltje in Guitar World (via GearSlutz)

1) Ludwig Phase II Synthesizer (a guitar synth made by a drum company!)

2) Ampeg Scrambler -- from 1969, and "rarer than paris Hilton's brain cells."

3) Dearmond Tremolo Control -- from the early 50's, used a motor to rock a glass tube filled with mercury.

4) EMS SynthI Hi-Fli -- Another 70's guitar synth "mounted on a waist-high stand and looked like a prop from Dr. Who."

5) Maestro Rover -- a rotating speaker unti that not only looks like a UFO but sounds like one too.

6) Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer/Maestro Ring Modulator -- by moving the controls while you play, you can imitate the sounds of extraterrestrial radio transmissions, drunken calypso steel drummers and screaming robot elephants.

7) ADA Flanger.

8 ) Roland Funny Cat -- sounds like a feline that has huffed a spray can of Rust-Oleum and downed a bottle of Jager, and is being whipped.

9) Oberheim Voltage Controlled Filter/Maestro Filter Sample and Hold -- Two different pedlas and apparently Zappa used one on "Ship Ahoy," "Black Napkins" and others.

10) Electro-Harmonix Talking Pedal -- a kind of talkbox that enables your guitar to speak through purely electronic means, only producing vowel sounds.

Wie weet meer van deze apparaten? Ik word hier wel errrrg nieuwsgierig van!

Die EMS Synthi is enorm veel gebruikt door Steve Hackett in Genesis. Vooral op het album The lamb lies down on broadway hoor je hem veel zoals bijvoorbeeld de vliegen in de intro van de title track.

In 1969 Ampeg roared into the effects world with the Scrambler. It was, and still is, distinctively unlike other distortion units of the time, and it doesn't appeal to everyone. Built like a tank in a heavy cast casing, part of the circuitry was potted in epoxy for copy protection. The sound of the unit is a mixture of strong fuzz with a bit of octave up and sometimes slight ring modulation. The Texture control ranges from an almost normal-sounding fuzz to one that brings to mind giant mosquitoes on steroids. The Balance control mixes in variable amounts of straight signal. The effect can be very extreme. Imagine sound gushing out of a firehose and splattering against the wall.

The Scrambler was not a commercial success for Ampeg, and perhaps 2500 units were produced, making it one of the more collectible effects, usually selling for more than $500.

Wow die Funny cat kende ik niet...Roland heeft net als Ibanez een serie erg mooi vormgegeven pedalen gemaakt (Jetlizer, Flying Pan, Phase 5).....ik heb ze geen van allen bespeeld maar ze zijn populair en gewild dus dat moet ook mooi klinken..O ja die 2 voice wil ik zeker bij je checken mathijs...heb je nog dat plaatje gestanst voor die modulaire Mod???...Ik ben momenteel verliefd op mijn Arp AXXE MK1 met Moog filter en een Rogue....vet hoor...

Leuk idd die Tonefrenzysite.....Heb een tijdje terug 30 pedaaltjes gekocht van 10 verschillende merken...leuke tijd mee gehad..
