test: succesful... then: Hello !
Hi to the forum members...
In first place, sorry for to write in english. It is the only way that I can contact with you. Even my english is not so good, but I will try to do my best effort

I friend of mine tolds me about the élkorus discussion on this forum.
I know about this forum, I visited it sometimes but I don't post anything due to the languaje barrier.
About the élkorus module, I've tryed to translate all the comments posted here about this topic, but the translator didn't clarify me all of them.
I will try to clarify some aspects:
Front Panel: The front panel has several red paint layers, then a white serigraphy ink process, and finally a car's varnish. All those layers (paint+varnish) produces a very dense film. So, when I tightened the screws of the front, they begin to wrinkle this film. The damage was done, and the lesson was learned: too much paint layers. Those images was taken from the first units. That error (and others) will be solved in the further units. There are no sticker on the front panel.
Design: The delay lines uses the TCA350Y BBD chip, like the Solina and Elka Rhapsody's delay lines, so the same distortion, noise and frequency response from those chorus would be expected here. However, the LFOs are very different from those designs. There are an explanation of them in my webpage, but I'm sure that most of you have read it yet.
There is a very useful control in the High LFO, the "clipping" factor, that converts the usual sine waveform gradually in a "trapezoid" or "truncated sine" shape. I found that control makes the sound more "granny" or "rough".
Red LEDs: The three red LEDs inside the unit are for monitoring pourposes only. They were installed temporarily and soon taked out. That shot was taken without any promotional use. Just a "freakie" photo

Juergen Haible design: The élkorus design is not based on the Juergen Haible's triple chorus. Both were designed in parallel ways. In fact, I ordered fifty TCA350's from a german supplier on april 2006. I'm an admirer of Haible's work. I'm consider myself a beginner compared with him.
Price: I can't talk so much about this topic. I have several costs and the unit is absolutely and carefully hand-made. Believe me, I don't have too much profits with the present price. I built it because I love that string ensemble's sound (I'm musician/composer, too

Well, I hope to have clarified some doubts about the élkorus.
If you have any further question about it, please write me to synthoma(at)synthoma.net. I will be glad in to answer all of your questions.
Best Regards
Sergio
PS: My greetings to that VP-330 owner of this forum, which I knew some months ago. Sorry, I can't remember your name
