If you have an analog oscillator core where the sawtooth or triangle charge pump discharge is being controlled by an analog voltage thru an expo converter (whether fed from a DAC or not), these are generally referred to as voltage controlled oscillators (vcos).
If you have an analog oscillator core where the wave discharge is directly controlled by a digital timer, that is what is generally referred to as a digitally controlled oscillator (dco).
If you have a sample playback table that is played back from either hardware or software, that is a digital oscillator. A modelled oscillator is a different type, but still is a digital oscillator.
The only other variety I've ever seen is where an analog sawtooth oscillator drives a wavetable whose position is voltage controlled. This approach combines the drift and non precise tracking of the analog vco with the timbral variety of a wavetable. Examples include the Wiard Waveform City and Blacet Miniwave.
