Over $50,000 in prizes. Three hot products. Five of the most influential people in the music business. And YOUR songs. Grab your Yamaha production gear and start making music. It’s time to enter The 2004 Yamaha International Music Production Contest!
Since this is a production contest, not a song contest, you will be evaluated and scored on the quality of the production, and how you utilized the features of your Yamaha gear. You must use at least one of the three eligible Yamaha products – 01X, Motif, AW Series – to produce your song. If chosen as a Music Genre Finalist, you will be asked to provide documentation of what Yamaha products you used and how you used them.
There will be 3 Product Categories each with 5 Music Genre sub-categories, for a total of 15 classes of competition. You may enter up to three songs per Music Genre. The top 3 songs in each of the Music Genre categories will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement signed by the genre judge. Those 45 people will all be eligible for the Product Category round of competition, in which 9 winners will be named, with 1st place in each Product Category taking home $10,000 in Yamaha Music Gear, $5,000 for 2nd place winners, and $2,000 for 3rd place finishers.
