Kan iemand mij vertellen of de PSR 3000 te gebruiken is met een Mac computer ipv een PC?

The PSR-3000 has two USB ports on the back, USB TO HOST and USB TO DEVICE. You'll need your computer to activate an account, but once that's done, you can browse through songs and styles and download music directly into your keyboard, play it, score it and learn it - no computer required. For the ultimate in user control, if the MIDI file is an XF file with embedded chord data, you can re-mix it. The keyboard will follow the chords in the song and replace appropriate tracks with auto accompaniment tracks like bass, drums, horns and guitar. For example, you can take a Rock song and convert it in real time to Latin, Jazz, Country or Hip Hop. This feature also adds accompaniment to interactive digital sheet music, which normally would only have the left and right piano parts (see Scorch XF at www.yamahamusicsoft.com). And with Yamaha's interactive Guide Mode, even a novice can learn to play their favorite music. Simply start a song, press Guide, and the keyboard highlights the notes on sheet music in the display screen and slows down or even waits for you to find the notes.

Het lijkt er op dat het een soort externe drive is. Je hoeft namelijk geen drivers te installeren. Volgens mij werkt het als iedere simpele USB stick.

Om de USB-To-Device aansluiting te gebruiken hoef je geen drivers te installeren. Gewoon een usb flashdrive,etc ... aansluiten en je kan daarop bestanden bewaren en uitlezen.

Om de USB-To-Host aansluiting te gebruiken moet je wel drivers installeren. Dit is handig indien je computer niet is uitgerust met een midi-interface. USB is tegenwoordig standaard op elke computer (Apple en PC) zodat je makkelijk je instrument met de computer kan verbinden voor midigebruik en niet over een aparte midi-interface hoeft te beschikken. De drivers kan je hier downloaden. Er zijn drivers voor zowel PC als Apple beschikbaar.
