Pino D'Angiò overleden

De naam Pino D'angio zei me helemaal niks totdat ik even ging luisteren... Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby blijkt Ma Quale Idea, op een iets hoger tempo en met andere vocalen. Wow. Age Of Love - The Age Of Love is natuurlijk een absolute tranceklassieker, kwam ik er ook nog even achter dat Pino daar ook achter zat. Mind blown. Rest in peace, thanks for the great music.

"Ma Quale Ide" heerlijke plaat! "Age of Love" idem dito!

From Italo to modern dance it's a short step... Not everyone knows that you are in some way a pioneer/founder of Trance, with the historic and multi-covered "The Age Of Love" from 1990 that sees you among the authors, and I'm not saying it but Billboard says it. On Youtube it has over 30 million views in about ten different versions and can be found on over 400 compilations. Here too the taste for the loop returns, in a massive way. What can you tell us about the matter? Any anecdotes?
Oh yes ... you bet! I was in Belgium at the house of a friend of mine, a great Franco-Belgian publisher (Philippe De Koukeleire) and he said to me: “Come on, come to the studio, I have a musical base and I would like you to listen to it, maybe we can do something with it… “It was really obscene, unbearable, horrible… a drum kit made up of cymbals and a snare drum, with no body, a bass with no head or tail, a keyboard that moaned in the background like a mute hen with colic. A real musical accident! I didn’t know what to do. I played a sequence repeated endlessly, I changed all the pads and I made up a random text, in English, standing there in front of the microphone and really just to do something. Then I left the studio and said to my friend: “Do whatever you want with it, but don’t put my name on it, have mercy! I recommend it." After six months it was the first worldwide success of a new musical genre, but even though I am listed as the author... I still scratch my head and don't understand. I don't know what it was. It is said that Fleming discovered penicillin more or less in the same way... To die laughing.
