Sinds kort zit ik de muis cursor dubbel in Cubase 9.5 op Windows 11. Weet iemand hoe ik dit op kan lossen? In alle andere programma'ws heb ik dit probleem niet.

Misschien helpt dit?
A double mouse pointer in Cubase on Windows 11 is often a known graphics driver conflict (especially Nvidia) or an in-Cubase setting like "Locate when clicked in empty space", requiring driver updates/reinstalls, tweaking Nvidia settings for Cubase (like disabling GPU optimization), or checking Cubase Preferences under Transport/Edit for location/selection behavior, sometimes fixed by clean Cubase installs or specific updates

Graphics Driver Issues (Most Common)
  1. Update/Reinstall Nvidia Drivers: A full, clean install of the latest Nvidia drivers (using the clean install option in the installer) often resolves this, especially for Cubase 13/14.
  2. Nvidia Control Panel Settings:
    • Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings.
    • Add Cubase (cubase.exe) as a program.
    • Try disabling Vertical Sync, Image Sharpening, or other GPU-intensive features specifically for Cubase, or experiment with settings recommended by Steinberg.

Cubase Preferences
  1. Check Locate/Click Settings: Go to Edit > Preferences (or Cubase > Settings on Mac).
  2. Transport Settings: Look for "Locate when clicked in empty space" under the Transport section; uncheck it if you want single clicks to just select, not move the cursor.
  3. Editing/Tool Modifiers: Check the Edit > Preferences > Editing > Tool Modifiers section to ensure your select tool isn't set to a specific "Set cursor" action on a key combo (like Alt+Shift) that might be triggering it unexpectedly.

Windows Settings (Less Likely for Double Pointer, but Related
  • File Explorer Options: Open File Explorer, click the three dots (ellipsis) > Options > General tab. Make sure "Double-click to open an item" is selected (not Single-click), as this can affect how Windows handles clicks, though usually not the pointer appearance, note this YouTube video.

General Troubleshooting
  • Clean Cubase Install: If updates don't work, try a clean reinstall of Cubase, as Steinberg sometimes releases specific patches for these graphical glitches.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Ensure Windows 11 itself is fully updated.
