[Chillout DJ Mix] DJ Eterno - ethnic frequencies vol1

Tracklist:

*Hybrid – in good we trust (Y4K, 2004)
A short melodic intro by Hybrid with epic violins, I used to start my breakbeat-sets with this in the past.

*The Orb - into the fourth dimension (essenes beyond control) (Big Life records, 1990)
Classic Orb-material, as featured on the B-side of the famous ‘Little Fluffy Clouds’.

*UB40 – reefer madness (Graduate records, 1980)
Dubby reggae from way back, for all you smokers out there. This was before UB40 became all charty and poppy.

*Omar Faruk Tekbilek – shashkin (Hefner remix) (Inert, 2002)
One of the best tracks of this Turkish mastermind with hypnotic Zurna-melodies. This tracks gets a remix-treatment by Hefner, who adds a great bassline to the original. One of my alltime favourites…

*Laurent Garnier – man with the red face (Svek remix) (F Communications, 2000)
This classic Garnier-track got remixed by Svek, who turns it into a kind of deephouse or chillhouse adventure. Contains all the elements of the original but in an easier setting.

*Si Begg – I see them everywhere (Noodles, 2008 )
This weird track floats between minimal and dub, filled with weird noises and a trippy vibe.

*Si Begg – kebabs (NovaMute, 2003)
Interlude of a telephone conversation about ordering too many kebabs, just for fun.

*PFN – flow (10 kilo, 2003)
This bouncy hiphop-track by PFN and MC Scandalous keeps the pace of the mix moving, with a nice eastern guitar-riff in the background.

*KLF – last train to transcentral (KLF, 1990)
Classic ambient track by KLF, one of my favourite classics with that famous nineties-breakdown.

*Earth Leakage Trip – no idea (Moving Shadow, 1991)
This sounds like Alice in Wonderland on acid. Enuff said…

*Plastikman – plastique (NovaMute, 1994)
Classic track from Hawtin’s alias. Great blend of old electro and acid.

*A Skillz & Krafty Kuts – simple things (Fingerlickin, 2003)
Funky hiphop with a laidback feeling. Great track to empty your head and think positive.

*The Slackers – no more crying (Hellcat, 1998 )
This ska-band always sets the mood for a laugh and good times. A great live-band as well.

*Applaus (sample from ‘Geluiden voor films en dia’s’ , jaren 70)
I got this LP on a market, filled with great samples to fill up mixes, like I did here…

See y’ around!!!
