Hierbij een instructie van Moog hoe je je Voyager moet upgraden:
WARNING: If the Voyager has any custom presets then this process may erase them. Be sure
to back up any custom presets before updating the operating system of your Voyager.
NOTE: You must have at least OS1.5 to update to the current operating system. If you have an
older operating system than 1.5 then contact Moog Tech Support for more information.
You Will Need:
A Computer
MIDI Interface/MIDI Cable(s)
Sysex Transfer Software
Sysex files for the latest Operating System (email
techsupport@moogmusic.com for these files)
The first thing to do is download free software to allow the computer to communicate the sysex
information. For Macintosh users this software is called Sysex Librarian* and is available
through this link:

For PC users the software is titled MIDI-OX** and is available through this link:
http://www.midiox.com/
*If this is the first time that Sysex Librarian is being used than it will be helpful to go into the
'Preferences' menu and slow the 'Transmit Speed' down from 100% to 10%.
**If this is the first time that MIDI-OX is being used than you must go to 'Options' and select
'Configure Buffers'. These values will need to be changed to 1024 (Size) over 256 (Num) for
both the inputs and outputs.
Erasing the existing Operating System and Loading the new one:
Go into the 'Master' menu on the Voyager and scroll to 'Receive Update'. Hit Enter. The
Voyager will inform you that the operating system will be deleted, and will ask if you are sure.
If all custom presets have been securely back up than Cursor to 'Yes' and hit Enter. The Voyager
display will then read: “Waiting for System Exclusive Data Transfer of Bank(s) A, B, C or D”.
The first Bank that needs to be loaded into the Voyager is Bank B. There will be a progress bar
that shows the data being loaded onto the Voyager, and when it is complete the display should
say that the transfer was a success. The Voyager will then reboot itself.
A good rule of thumb is to give the Voyager the Bank of sysex information it asks for, and
at this point the Voyager may ask you to install Bank D. Do not be surprised if the Voyager
does not ask you to load this bank, and if this is the case than skip this step and proceed on with
the instructions. If it asks to install Bank D than Cursor to 'Yes' and send Bank D to the
Voyager. The unit will not reboot itself after this load of Bank D.
You will need to go back into the 'Master' menu of the Voyager and scroll back to 'Receive
Update'. It will tell you again that the Operating System will be deleted. Select 'Yes' and you
will see the “Waiting for System Exclusive Data Transfer of Bank(s) A, B, C or D” again. This
time you will be sending the Voyager Bank A. After the Voyager is through loading Bank A it
will prompt you to load Bank C. Cursor to 'Yes' and send the Voyager Bank C. The Voyager
will then prompt you to load Bank D, and you will Cursor to 'Yes' and send Bank D over. If you
already loaded Bank D into the Voyager between B and A you still must load Bank D here.
Remember, always load in the Bank that the Voyager is asking for.
At this point the latest operating system has been successfully installed onto the Voyager. Go
into the 'Master' menu and scroll until you find the menu option 'Software Version'. Hit Enter
to confirm that the 'System Version' number (e.g. 3.5) corresponds with the file names that have
just been loaded onto the Voyager (e.g. bank_A_350). You will also want to make sure that the
'Boot Version' is the same as the 'System Version'. If these numbers are different than that
means one Bank was not loaded in correctly, and the process should be started over.
