"So, is the upgrade worth it? In a nutshell, not quite. Don't get us wrong - the new features make Reason an even more attractive proposition for those who don't own it already, especially musicians who are looking to get into the murky world of computer-based production first time. What's more, the new workflow makes it an essential upgrade for power users who spend half their waking hours nailed to the DAW. But if that's not you, you might want to spend your money on a new Rack Extension for your copy of Reason 7 instead."

Dus sysex, ik denk niet dat dat gaat gebeuren.graag een soort midi editor optie zien voor je hardware synths
I think what you see as arrogance is just us being used to... being us. For every upgrade we've announced, there's a fair deal of vitriol flying our way over why we chose to do X instead of Y. Eventually things settle down and people move on. With or without the new upgrade. This doesn't mean that we don't care what people say. It just means that we're used to this situation. We add features to Reason and some like it, some doesn't. And we know people who don't like something are the ones that will make themselves heard. What I do sometimes is to count positive vs negative posters, not posts. That shows things in another perspective.
Why did Reason 8 end up being what it is? Well, for a start we were able to address yet another of the "Most Requested Features" - do something about the browser that has haunted Reason since the dawn of Reasonkind. And we also wanted to improve on the UI and workflow, since that's closely related to the browser.
And also - we have access to information that you don't have. While some posters here have proclaimed that "this is the end of Propellerhead" (like someone always says), we can look at the sales data: Reason 8 upgrades are selling faster than Reason 7 upgrades. Something to consider...
Lastly - it's down to that simple fact: if you don't like the product, don't buy it. We're not forcing anybody to upgrade. This time it's unusually easy to stay on 7 if you don't want 8 since there are no external dependencies to SDKs etc. The fact that people get so emotional over all this is of course that they feel strongly about the product, and that's good. I just wish people could stay cool about it. "This isn't for me, I think. I'll wait until the next version then".
Als je Reason 7 koopt of Upgrade dan krijg je tegen die tijd 8 gratis.
Reason 7 kost €369.00
8 Zal ook wel zoiets gaan kosten.

Reason using UK producer / DJ Dave Spoon's latest release 'Fiesta' is out and Mr Spoon has decided to release it as a Reason 5 song file! Since he's constantly bombarded with questions on production techniques in Reason, he decided to release the Reason song file so that people can see for themselves what's going on inside a Dave Spoon track.
