@ Yoozer: erg leuk!
@ 6 Trak: Bedankt, ik heb De Heer Erazotropa een privaat bericht gestuurd.
@ de rest: Ik heb een mail gezonden naar Elektron, geïntresseerden kunnen hem hieronder lezen.

Hello dear music machine maker,
Some days ago I was visiting the beautiful Elektron website, and I read some things about the SidStation. I must say I the Sid was really charming me. When I took a look at the manual and listened to some very cool soundexamples (the Bastian sounds - WOW), I was sure of it - powerful.
I never really took a closer look to the Sid (I consider myself still a beginner in the music making art), but now I did and I came to the conclusion this must be a freaking fantastic machine!
It then was really a big dissapointment when I had to read the sad announcement, that the Sid is no longer made... So I went to several sites where you can buy and sell second hand gear (like Ebay). What a dissapointment again -> almost nobody seems to be that crazy to sell his or her SidStation; this must be a good product.
However, the people on the forum (
https://www.synthforum.nl/ - It's a Dutch forum) I visit on regular basis told me there might be a solution for my problem. The solution is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) project. I visited many sites who had such a DIY project explained. The SID chip however, they do not have. But that's not really a major problem -> I already know someone with a Commodore 64, I'm planning to buy it form him so I can cannibalise the SID chip from the C64 :-)
Now, let's come to the point.
I'm a student Industrial Engineer option Electronics (in Belgium), and I want to make a SidStation replica for my seminar next year. (It mustn't be an exact replica however - I think I'll use a 19" casing.) I really want to work int the future for a company like Elektron (when I finish my studies, of course) and help designing new interesting instruments. Thats my big dream :-)
So learn how this machines are built would be the most interesting lesson for me I can imagine. Also, having my own Sidstation would be a fantastic creative tool to make interesting music (I make some kind of deephouse - filtered disco - or better I'm still trying to ;-)
I was wondering if you guys from Elektron would want me to use your schematics of the SidStation, so I can make a PCB layout design. It would be really great if you guys are going to support me.
Secondly, a partlist would also be fantastic -> I'll then know which parts are good for audio, plus I would have the same sound as an original SidStation!!
I was also wondering on how to install the SidStation OS - I hope you don't have problems on sharing the OS with me.
At my school we have devices which can program PROMs and Flash memory probably also. Do I have to use those devices (my professor will help me out, I'm sure) to program the OS into the memory or can I use a normal OS update via MIDI to get the OS into the SidStation?
Last question: the SidStation uses the older version of the SID chip: MOS6581. Is the newer model 8580 also compatible with the design of the SidStation? Problably not - the 8580 needs other voltages - but I'm asking anyway.
Again, It would be very fantastic if you'll help me out -> I really want to make a SidStation replica since they can't be bought anymore...
I know you don't get much e-mails about this topic, but I hope I get an answer soon. Would be so cool if you music machine makers agree.
Sorry for the poor English -> I'm Dutch.
Much greetings
